Dr. Miller has assisted in the development of two types of bite correcting devices that correct moderate to severe overbites. The Flip lock™ Herbst appliance corrects severe overbites without the need for headgear. We have achieved great success with that device for over 15 years. More recently, the Forsus Fred™ appliance is also used in a variety of applications such as the Crossbow™, our replacement for the Herbst appliance. Dr Miller has worked with Dr. Duncan Higgins, the crossbow™ inventor, improving techniques and applications of this device.
