At Miller Orthodontics, we believe that our patients need the right materials to succeed. When braces are placed, it becomes more difficult to brush and floss. Often times if not brushed properly, teeth can develop white spots or decalcification marks that remain on the teeth once the braces are removed. These "spots" are the beginnings of a cavity and are unsightly.

To prevent this, we use a special primer under our braces known as Opal Seal^™. It provides two very important functions. It secures the brace to the tooth, while also protecting the enamel from plaque. Just as the name implies, we seal the entire front surface of the teeth with this revolutionary new primer that creates a hard protective barrier. Fluoride is an important agent that is both present and released when needed to provide resistance to white spots and cavities. Opal Seal™ is just another material we use to provide you with the best outcome possible.
