Juliana Miller, DDS, MSD

Dr. Juliana Miller has had a passion for orthodontics since she was in the sixth grade. Having a thumb-sucking habit herself, it was no surprise that she would need orthodontic treatment. This experience would prove life changing. Her personal treatment and the changes it had on her self-esteem compelled her to pursue the path of dentistry and ultimately her orthodontic specialty degree. It continues to be her passion today!

Education

Dr. Miller was born and raised in Southern California and attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors in 1996. She then participated in a General Practice Residency program at the University of Washington in Seattle. Here she learned management of medically compromised patients. After returning to San Francisco, she completed her two year orthodontic residency program, receiving her Masters of Science in Dentistry as well as her orthodontic certificate. Dr. Miller has been in private practice since 1999.

Continuing Education

Although her professional education is complete, she continues to be an active member in many organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists. An organization dedicated only to the specialty of Orthodontics and its advancements. She holds memberships in the Southern Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Orthodontic Study Club.  She also participates in an all dental specialty group called the Spear group.  This involvement allows her to stay current with the latest treatment technologies throughout all the different areas of dentistry.

In Practice

Dr. Miller is proud to serve the Northern Virginia area and it shows.  She has been featured in multiple magazines as one of our areas "bests".  Such magazines include the Northern Virginia Magazine where she was voted top orthodontist by her peers.  She has also been awarded Top Dentist since 2005.

Dr. Miller loves the field of orthodontics because it provides her with the ability to combine her love of science with art.  She takes pride in providing the best smile possible.  An added bonus is the relationships.  Getting to know her patients and families while providing a result and experience that makes everyone smile is what it is all about!

Family Life

Dr. Juliana Miller moved to the east coast after marrying her husband Dr. Robert Miller, also known as Mr. Dr. Miller.  They have two wonderful boys, Ronan and Jonas.  As a family they enjoy skiing, tennis and anything out doors. 

Because Dr. Miler grew up in a ski town, she started snowboarding more than 25 years ago when the sport was brand new! The picture that you see is of her and Jake Burton, who is a famous snowboard inventor and pioneer. She met him on a recent ski trip to British Columbia!
